About me:

Hello! I am so glad our paths have crossed.

My name is Kaitlyn. I am a mother to three beautiful souls. For as long as I can remember, I’ve felt deeply drawn to serving, supporting, and caring for those around me.

My desire to serve women through their birth journey was fostered by my own initiations into motherhood.

My first birth experience took place in the hospital system where birth is viewed as a medical event instead of a normal physiological process.

When I stepped into the care of an OBGYN for my first pregnancy, I had no idea there was any other way to give birth, let alone, that I had autonomy over my birth choices.

I spent the entirety of my pregnancy unprepared, disconnected emotionally and spiritually, and afraid of giving birth. My world was rocked.

That birth launched me into a journey of spiritual awakening, which led me to have a very redemptive second birth at the local birth center, followed by a radical and empowering unassisted homebirth with my third child.

More about me:

I love to spend time in nature. I feel most grounded when I’m sitting by the river or running through the forest with my children.

When I’m at home, you can most likely find me in the kitchen, creating nourishing meals from scratch.

When I feel inspired, I like to draw.

I love to learn and discover practices that help bring alignment and harmony to humans on a biological and physiological level.

I will always make time to listen to someone who needs an ear, and I love sharing nourishing meals.

I completed my doula training through Indie Birth. I chose their program because it provides in-depth education on birth that goes beyond the basics. Birth is viewed as a spiritual and emotional rite of passage, not just a physical event. Its core foundation teaches an unwavering focus on the birthing woman. Her desires, her preferences, her voice. Every topic reinforces the importance of informed choice and honoring autonomy. In addition to the spiritual and emotional side of education, I gained a deep understanding of the mechanisms of physiological birth and why birth is made to work. This program equipped me with the tools I need to advocate for women in a way that is both grounded and heart centered.
