What Is a Birth Doula?
A birth doula is a trained professional providing non-clinical support for you and your partner.
As your doula, I work to support you through physical comfort measures, education, advocacy, and emotional support.
I will stand by you throughout your birthing journey so that you have the ability to focus on giving birth how you wish and with whom you wish.
Why Hire a Doula?
One major piece I believe is missing from prenatal care is the continuation of care outside of routine appointments.
Having a support person who is knowledgeable, experienced, and works directly for you can bring a feeling of safety, ease, and connection as you navigate this journey.
Research has shown that having a doula can lead to improved outcomes for mothers and babies, such as shorter labors, reduced need for pain medication and cesarean deliveries, and increased satisfaction with the overall birth experience.
